CONVENTION CENTER AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Convention Center Authority has announced the reappointment of Seema Prasad and the appointment of new board member, Austin Brown, who were appointed by Mayor John Cooper and confirmed by the Metro Council.

Prasad, who is owner of Miel Restaurant, was appointed May 5, 2020 to fill an unexpired term. Brown is an associate with Bass, Berry & Sims and assists clients with commercial finance, public finance and real estate transactions.

“We are delighted that Seema has been reappointed to the board as she brings a diverse business background and extensive knowledge and experience in sustainability and the hospitality industry,” said Charles Starks, President/CEO of Music City Center. “We are also pleased to welcome new board member Austin Brown who brings a unique set of talents, perspective and experience.”

The Music City Center, Nashville’s convention center, features a 353,143 square foot exhibit hall, the 57,500 square foot Karl F. Dean Grand Ballroom, and an 18,000 square foot Davidson Ballroom.
