Sustainable Operations

We are committed to sustainable practices in the behind the scenes operations at Music City Center. We reduce our environmental impact by buying green office supplies, utilizing green printing/copying procedures, and assisting customers in hosting green meetings. In our offices, we purchase environmentally friendly products and supplies, including those made from renewable resources or post-consumer recycled materials. Increasing our waste diversion from the landfill is also a top priority.

Recycling: We encourage our guests to participate in our building-wide recycling program. Our single-stream collection includes the capacity for cardboard, paper products, aluminum, and plastic products. We also have separate recycling streams for electronics, light bulbs, batteries, pallets, and more.

Donations: To give back to the community and increase our waste diversion from the landfill, we donate leftover food and items to our local nonprofit partners.

Compost: Food that is sent to the landfill results in the production of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. Our team collects food scraps from our kitchens and event break-downs to be turned into compost instead. The leftover used cooking oil from our kitchen is also picked up to be turned into biofuels. All food service items provided by our facility are either compostable, reusable or recyclable.
